The Mary Kay Smith Women's Athletic Fund 

Established in August, 1998 after her death.  Mary Kay deeply touched the lives of hundreds of students and athletes at Stamford Catholic/Trinity Catholic High School during her 37 year teaching and coaching career.  Not only was she the pioneer for the highly successful women's athletic program in this school, but Mary Kay was also a role model, a teacher, a friend, and a confidant for our adults of the future. This award was created at the request of her family.  The first award was presented to Krista Griffiths (TCHS 2000) at the awards assembly in May 1999.

Mary Kay made a difference in our lives in countless ways. She did it with unwavering enthusiasm, relentless energy and steadfast compassion.  To commemorate that spirit, a former student has agreed  to match your contribution to the Mary Kay Smith Women's Athletic Fund dollar for dollar up to $10,000.  Please join us in taking advantage of this generous offer to preserve Mary Kay's memory and provide an opportunity for future students to benefit from it.
