GUIDELINES
1. Fill out application completely:
a. be sure to sign application and if required secure parental signature.
b. essay- college essay needs to be corrected by a English teacher and
corrections need to be completed before handing in application.
c. be sure application check is included with application.
2. CHECK COLLEGE PROCESS CALENDAR FOR THE GUIDANCE
DEPARTMENT APPLICATION DEADLINES.
MISS THE GUIDANCE DEADLINE = MISS THE COLLEGE DEADLINE
(this could result in being wait listed, not being accepted into the
program of your choice or rejection).
3. RECOMMENDATIONS
a. students will receive 2 teacher recommendation forms from guidance - students are responsible
for all teacher recommendations and for requesting them from teachers in a timely manner.
b. some colleges also have additional teacher recommendation forms. These are in addition to item
"a" and should be given to the recommending teachers. Notify guidance that there is an additional recommendation form.

COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS
1. COLLEGE APPLICATION
a. the guidance department will supply envelopes for mailing out applications-
please do not put your return address on envelope- they will be stamped
with Trinity's return address.
b. each envelope needs to be addressed and stamped (4 stamps on each envelope for mailing )
c. insert into each envelope, your application, check, essay and activity sheet.
d. if you want your application to go certified do not stamp them -there will be a
special form in guidance releasing the application to you and it will be your
responsibility to take the application to the post office for its proper postage and mailing.
e. a processing fee of $3.00 for each application is due Trinity - this includes the Xeroxing
of all materials that need to go with the application, the mid year report, and the
end of the year report to the colleges.
ON-LINE APPLICATION
a. if the student is applying on-line - there is a special form the student needs to
fill out and hand into guidance prior to on-line submission.
b. be sure to print out the confirmation page and bring a copy to guidance.
c. the guidance department is not responsible for on-line applications, however, we are
responsible for mailing out the transcript, report card, teacher and counselor recommendations,
SAT/ACT scores and school profile. |
