INSTITUTION

Trinity Catholic High School is a coeducational college preparatory Diocesan high school located on 26 picturesque acres in northern Stamford, Connecticut. The student body is comprised of residents of Fairfield County, Connecticut and lower Westchester County, NY. The school was regionalized in 1991 from St. Mary’s (Greenwich), Stamford Catholic (Stamford) and Norwalk Central (Norwalk).

COURSES

The academic program provides a quality education within the framework of a rigorous and challenging traditional high school curriculum.  Courses are offered in Religion, English, Mathematics, Sciences, Computers, Languages (Spanish, French & Italian), Social Studies, Fine Arts, Business Education, and Physical Education.  Honors classes are offered in all academic areas with the exception of Religion, Fine Arts and Business Education.


 
  ADVANCED PLACEMENT

Offered in English Literature, English Language, Calculus, U.S. History, European History, Chemistry, Spanish and Physics.


GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Twenty-seven (27) units of credit are required.  Distribution as follows: English(4); Religion(4); Science(3); Mathematics(4); Social Studies(4); Foreign Language(3); Physical Education(1); Computer Science(.5); Fine Arts(.5); Electives(2) Reach Out (1).


CLASS RANK

Class rank is calculated using all subjects, grades 9-12, using a weighted scale.  AP courses are multiplied by the factor 6; Honors courses by 5; College Prep 1 courses by 4; and College Prep 2 courses by 3.  Grade Point Average (GPA) is not weighted.
