Your College Interviews
"Nothing can replace a good conversation - it's the best way for us to really get to know you. We understand that you are much more than test scores and grades. A personal interview is your opportunity to show us what you're made of and to ask us the questions that matter to you. It's a dialogue that can make a difference." (Sienna College)
There are many colleges offering the opportunity to interview prospective seniors during the summer and into the fall. Although interviews are usually not required, many colleges will consider an interview when reviewing your application. Interviews can be great opportunities for you to show your interest in a college and allow schools to learn more about you and for you to learn more about the school. Colleges that offer interviews will offer them on campus and/or will arrange for interviews here in CT if you can’t make it to campus.
There are different types of interviews. Some colleges offer “non-evaluative” or “informational only” interviews. These interviews are for information purposes only and are not considered in the review of your application. However, many colleges (such as the ones on the attached list) offer a personal interview that is “evaluative” and consider it as part of your application.
As always, feel free to email your counselor with any questions you might have.
